What It Is
MT-2 (Melanotan II) is a synthetic analog of alpha-MSH that activates multiple melanocortin receptors including MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R. It is more potent and less selective than MT-1, producing stronger tanning effects alongside sexual function and appetite effects through MC3R and MC4R activation.
What It Does
MT-2 stimulates melanin production for tanning and UV protection, increases sexual desire and arousal (through MC4R), reduces appetite, and has anti inflammatory effects. The sexual function effects are a direct result of the same central nervous system pathway activated by PT-141.
How It Works
MT-2 activates MC1R in melanocytes for tanning, MC3R and MC4R in the hypothalamus for sexual function and appetite regulation, and MC5R for various peripheral effects. The broad receptor activation profile makes it more potent than MT-1 but also produces more side effects.

Cautions
More side effects than MT-1. May cause nausea, flushing, spontaneous erections, fatigue, or darkening of existing moles. Start at the lowest possible dose. Monitor skin lesions. Not recommended during pregnancy.
